Every three years, all general practices go through the accreditation process to ensure that they are meeting the national standards. The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Standards for general practices 5th edition details the indicators which practices must meet in order to successfully gain their accreditation.
To support busy and time-poor general practice staff through the accreditation process, CHN developed the Health System Improvement Toolkit for Accreditation. The toolkit aims to simplify the accreditation process by summarising how to meet the criterion, as well as providing suggested tools and solutions that can help practices improve in each area of the accreditation standards.
