My Health Record (MHR) is a secure online summary of an individual’s health information and is available to all Australians. In January 2019 all Australians, who did not opt out, had a My Health Record created for them. Since that time, the usage of My Health Record by GPs and Community Pharmacists has grown exponentiality with many thousands of Shared Health Summaries, Dispense Records, Pathology Reports, Diagnostic Imaging Reports and Discharge Summaries now available in the system.
CHN and the Australian Digital Health Agency commenced a 6-month contract to undertake a project to identify, engage and register Medical Specialists within the ACT to commence access and use the My Health Record system. There has been a 35% increase in Specialist registrations on My Health Record between January and May 2020.
