Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health is one of the nine key priority areas for CHN. CHN recognises the importance of partnerships to improving the health and wellbeing of First Nations people in the ACT. Central to this, CHN facilitates the co-design, funding and support of programs and services that improve access to culturally safe health and well-being services that take a holistic and integrated approach to meeting the needs of the more than 7,500 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in the ACT. We acknowledge and strive to work together with the many other organisations providing important services to the First Nations community in the ACT.
