The role of a Practice Manager is critical in general practice as Practice Managers implement policies and procedures to keep the practice running, while juggling many other crucial tasks. CHN, ACT’s PHN has continued to support Practice Managers by providing relevant, timely, and accurate information and hosting Practice Manager Network Meetings.
Over the last year, we had over 800 engagements (email, phone or visits) with Practice Managers to provide practical support around crucial issues facing the practice, including COVID-19 pandemic response, accreditation support, MBS support and quality improvement activities.
Practice Manager Network Meetings provided information about identified areas of need, including COVID-19 and veteran health. Attendees frequently reported that the mix between education and an opportunity to connect with colleagues was of value to them.
