Position Description
GP positions – full-time (4 – 5 days) now available
$250k – $300k annual salary (negotiable)
Features of the clinical work:
- Wide variety of general practice work in our recently purpose-built clinic at Narrabundah
- Chronic disease and drug and alcohol focus
- Work in our main clinic and partly at the local prison as part of our dedicated, nation-leading prison program
- Working hours are weekdays 9 am – 5 pm (no after hours).
You must have the following:
- Full work rights in Australia
- Fellow with RACGP or ACRRM
- Specialist registration with AHPRA
- Strong interest in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.

Practice Description
Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health & Community Services is Canberra’s only Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. Located in the heart of Canberra, we provide trusted holistic healthcare to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of the ACT and surrounding areas.
We have a great multidisciplinary clinical team including 6 GPs, visiting specialists, nurses, allied health specialists and admin support. We now need more GPs to meet the needs of the community. This is a great opportunity to directly contribute to closing the gap on health outcomes for First Nations people.
