Job Details
Position Description
Part-time GP with a special interest (GPwSI) in vestibular medicine.
Practice Description
The Canberra Dizziness Clinic, established in 2017 and transitioning to a full-time vestibular clinic in 2019, stands as Australia’s pioneering general practitioner-led facility dedicated to addressing the needs of individuals afflicted with vertigo, dizziness, and imbalance. With an average influx of approximately 65 new patients per month, our clinic specializes in the comprehensive diagnosis and management of a spectrum of peripheral and central vestibular disorders, including but not limited to benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), vestibular migraine, Meniere’s disease, and vestibular neuronitis. Notably, our GP-led service model has garnered acclaim for its efficacy and patient-centric approach. As a testament to our success, our patient waiting list continues to expand. Consequently, we are actively seeking to recruit a part-time, fully registered general practitioner who harbours an interest in contributing to our specialized clinic alongside our current practitioner. Comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship will be provided, with an initial commitment of 1-2 days per week and the potential for increased involvement in the future. Remuneration is structured on a private billing basis, offering competitive financial benefits. While prior experience in otolaryngology (ENT) or neurology is advantageous, it is not deemed obligatory for consideration.
