The ANU Medical Centre offers primary health care and promotes health and wellness through a comprehensive range of health services. Located in the heart of Kambri in the Health and Wellbeing Centre, our dedicated team, including general practitioners, a registered nurse, and nurse practitioners, plays an important role in the provision of affordable health services for students.
Our services include:
- Standard consultations and general health check-ups including Telehealth
- Mental health treatment plans
- Minor surgical procedures and wound management
- Medical assessments and pre-employment medicals
- Referrals and prescriptions
- Childhood and adult immunisation
- Pathology Services
- Sexual health services, including STI testing and treatment, contraception advice and procedures, cervical cancer screening, and pregnancy and antenatal care.
About You
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team, to provide expert clinical care within the scope of practice as defined by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. You will perform advanced clinical assessments, deliver autonomous patient care, and make evidence-based clinical, diagnostic, and prescribing decisions. With a high degree of autonomy and accountability, you will ensure safe and effective health strategies and interventions, and maintain client records, contributing to service accountability. Additionally, you will foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including university services, student residences, and the community, to ensure integrated service delivery. Mandatory
- Candidates must have current registration as a Registered Nurse and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Candidates must demonstrate advanced clinical skills, and leadership in the assessment, treatment and management of patients’ diverse health presentations.
- Candidates must be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and independently to provide high-quality care.
