Position Description

We seek full-time/part-time and casual medical receptionists to join our practice team in Conder, ACT.   As a member of our Administration team, you will be the first point of contact for patients, playing a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience and ensuring the efficient running of the medical practice.

What you’ll be doing

  • Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner
  • Scheduling appointments and managing the practice’s appointment calendar
  • Handling patient queries and providing excellent customer service
  • Performing administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and managing patient records
  • Assisting with the coordination of patient referrals and follow-up appointments
  • Maintaining the reception area and ensuring it is tidy and welcoming
  • Providing support to the clinical team as required

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in a medical receptionist or administrative role, preferably within a healthcare setting
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, visitors, and the clinical team
  • Proficient in the use of medical software and computer systems
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
  • A friendly, professional, and empathetic demeanor
  • A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
